  ABSTRACT: Background Dyslipidemia is highly prevalent among individuals with prediabetes, further exacerbating their cardiovascular risk. Methods We performed a genome-wide association study (GWAS) of blood lipid traits in 451 Southern Han Chinese adults with prediabetes. Fasting plasma lipids, including triglycerides (TG), total cholesterol (TC), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) were assayed.
